I am a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based support to individuals of all ages. With a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, I take a personalized approach to therapy, helping clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop the skills necessary for emotional well-being. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I create a safe and inclusive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
With experience addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, social communication challenges, family struggles, and emotional regulation, I am committed to meeting each client where they are in their journey. I understand that mental health struggles can impact every aspect of a person’s life and I strives to provide thoughtful, practical guidance that fosters growth and healing. My ability to connect with clients of all backgrounds allows me to create a therapeutic experience that is both supportive and effective.
Beyond individual counseling, I am passionate about community engagement and mental health awareness. I actively seek to build partnerships with local schools and community organizations, offering workshops and resources that help students, educators, and families prioritize mental wellness. In addition, I am currently an Adjunct Instructor of Counseling and Mental Health Professions at Hofstra University. It is an honor to be able to share my knowledge with not only clients but also future counselors!
I graduated from Hofstra University in May 2019 with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and completed my clinical training at North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center, a leading mental health agency for children and families. During my time there, I worked with individuals ranging from age five through adulthood, addressing concerns such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, and family conflict.
For three years, I provided in-home therapy, helping families navigate challenges in their everyday environments. In addition to my clinical work, I supervised a team of 11 professionals who delivered therapy, case management, and parent support.
In 2022, I was invited back to Hofstra University as an Adjunct Instructor in Counseling and Mental Health Professions. That same year, I founded Danilack Mental Health Counseling to expand my reach and provide quality mental health care to individuals of all ages.
